Current Information for Brudenell Primary School and Covid 19

You may be  advised that a member of our school community has tested positive for COVID-19.

Since 19th July, schools are no longer responsible for identifying close contacts of persons who test positive for COVID-19.

Instead, close contacts will be notified by NHS Test and Trace and given advice and instructions about isolating and / or taking a PCR test.

As schools often become aware of cases sooner than NHS Test and Trace, we will text you to inform you that there has been a person in your child’s class who has tested positive for COVID-19.

To help stop the spread please be alert to the signs and symptoms of COVID-19 infection:

• A high temperature

• A new continuous cough

• A loss of change to your sense of taste or smell.

If you or your child develops one of these symptoms, please keep them at home and book a PCR test online at:http://www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test  or by phoning 119 between 7am and 11pm) and stay at home until you receive a result.

The safety and welfare of all our staff and children remains our top priority. We continue to undertake thorough cleaning of the whole school and a deep clean will be carried out in the appropriate areas of school following this positive case.
