Tour de Yorkshire Trophy Unveiled at Brudenell!

yorkshire trophy 3(1)

Seven lucky pupils were given a chance to get their hands on the Tour de Yorkshire Trophy for  Thursday 2nd April 2015. The trophy was unveiled for the first time by Councillor Keith Wakefield and we were so excited to be part of this historic event.

The new trophy has been crafted in the shape of the famous letter Y for Yorkshire, and will be presented to the winner of the first ever Tour de Yorkshire cycle race which takes place on May 1st to 3rd.  The recipient of the trophy will be decided in Roundhay Park on the 3rd May 2015.  This event has been added to the cycling calendar following the incredible success of the Tour De France Grand Depart in 2014 and the excitement it generated in the people of Yorkshire.

Graham Poucher, Senior Press Officer at 'Welcome to Yorkshire' said

"Thank you so much for having us in; the children were a credit to themselves and the school."
