What is a School Council?

The School Council is an ideal opportunity for pupils to get more involved in the way a school is run and to be involved in making decisions.

Brudenell School Council is made up of a group of children (two from each class)who meet regularly to discuss issues that may effect them in school.

Involvement so far this school year

So far this year, school council members have been involved in the following initiatives:             

  • Choosing new playground equipment
  • Improving the school lunch system
  • Organising parcels of food for The Salvation Army at Christmas
  • Meeting the governors at sub committees and answering questions posed about their learning in school
